“Make a Shine Star” Program

Mission: The “Make a Shine Star” mission is to empower the low-income children through the access of a quality education, promoting their integral development, and providing them with the necessary tools to reach their maximum academic and personal potential. With the support of generous and kind-hearted individuals, we seek to ensure that every student has the opportunity to receive an excellent education, without the financial barriers that may limit their dreams and aspirations.

Description: “Make a Shine Star” is an educational program dedicated to supporting students at Colegio Sagrada Familia, whose families face significant economic challenges. This program invites people with a solidarity spirit to sponsor students’ tuition, monthly fees or any other school contribution, ensuring that they can excel at school without financial worries. In addition to the financial support, this program allows Colegio Sagrada Familia to provide extracurricular activities and personal development programs to the sponsored students, creating an enriching and motivating educational environment. In addition, we also offer workshops and resources to the parents, helping them to become actively involved in their child's education.

Program Objectives:

1. Ensure School Financing:

Invite sponsors to cover the tuition and monthly fees of the students.
Establish a scholarship fund that guarantees the continuity of economic support.
Provide transparency and accountability to donors about the use of funds.

2. Improve Academic Performance:

Offer additional educational resources, such as books and teaching materials provided by the financial contribution.

3. Integrating Student Development:

Foster social and emotional skills through extracurricular activities. Promote participation in artistic and sports activities for balanced development.

4. Parents Support:

Provides relief to families so that they can meet the payments of their basic needs and in turn provide life quality for their children.
Creating a support network among participating families to share resources and experiences.
Facilitating access to community and social assistance services.

5. Access to Future Opportunities:

Organize visits and activities that broaden students' perspectives on possible careers and vocations.
Develop mentoring programs where professionals and volunteers guide students in their academic and personal growth.

6. Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:

Perform periodic evaluations of students' academic and personal progress.
Collect and analyze feedback from students, parents, and guardians to continuously improve the program.
Adapt and expand teaching and support strategies based on the emerging needs of students and their families.
